Update on my Snaking & Awards

My endoscopy procedure(snaking!!!) went well on Wednesday. The diagnosis is an infection of the tissue surrounding the epiglottis(the flap of tissue that prevents food from entering the trachea). The vet scoped to my stomach and could find no ulcers or tumors or foreign objects. My tonsils were also normal. The infection is a bacterial infection that requires Clavamox for 10 days. Dr. Judy says my infection was likely caused by something sharp that scraped or sliced my tissue, then infection set into the wound causing the swelling and foul smell. "Yuck Mouth".

I'm not feeling to well. My tummy is upset. Mom has been waiting on me and cleaning up my messes. Asta don't tell my mom about your post, she thinks dogs can't clean up after themselves.

Mango the Maltese kiddo November 16, 2008 at 6:55 AM

Lovely Ruby,
I'm glad that the diagnotic procedure was over and well!
10 days of antibiotic? I had that before, I love it 'cause my mom hid the pill inside a piece of treat.
The Vet thought something sharp that scraped or sliced your tissue?
Ruby, did you chew on bone or pick up some stick then chew on it?
Tsk, tsk, I think you need a bodyguard to protect you from being sick again.
How about Snoop? Isn't him charming? (Thanks for being on my side earlier about the "bra" things. I love Snoop and you dearly.)
Congrats on the Awards and thanks for passing it onto me. May I take the latter one? I had the first one already.
Cheers!
