"Yuck Mouth"

On Wednesday Mom took me to the vet for my annual check up and vaccinations. This is me sitting on the exam table waiting for the doc. My ears are pinned back, I was pretty nervous.

Mom told the doc about a problem I've been having. Swallowing has been pretty hard for me. Mom says it's like I have a mouthful of dry soda crackers that I'm trying to swallow but just can't do it. There's alot of loud swallowing & lip smacking. I also have atrocious bad breath. Mom gags. (I know its gross). So the doc says it could be infected tonsils and that food is getting trapped behind them (I know its really gross). The doc is going to put me under & snake a tube down my throat to check it out on Tuesday.

Now for the "Yuck Mouth" part.

Mom has been singing about my bad breath. She sings "You've got a Yuck Mouth cause your breath stinks" or "You're a Yuck Mouth" over & over again to the tune of a 1980's ABC PSA that was broadcast on Saturday mornings while she was watching cartoons. I think she's a little silly some times. Here's the commercial if anybody would like a blast from the past.

Wish me luck for Tuesday, going under and all that snaking sounds pretty scary.

Love Ruby

I left you a award on my blog. Go get it!

Peanutdog November 13, 2008 at 2:53 PM

Hi Ruby; Walkies are great aren't they?! Yes, I wear a Buddy Belt! I like it. Mom likes it. And Dad likes it sort of. I like to go go go. I'm a bit of a puller despite obedience school's really the only thing I never quite got...probably because Mom and Dad weren't consistent.. but I digress... :)
Both Mom and Dad find that I am a better walker (less pulling) with the Buddy Belt..And it protects my delicate throat area. All in all it's the best harness Mom and Dad have used on my walks. Enjoy your new Buddy Belt. I can't wait to see it- they are quite the doggy fashion statement! XOXO Peanut
