Cinderella

We have a new kitteh sister. Her call name is Cindy, short for Cinderella.

From Rags to Riches

Cindy first appeared on May 19, 2010 with her tiny kitten. We first started calling her Mama & her kitten Baby. She was living in the bottom of the hot tub next door. Mom started feeding her & her kitten and soon Cindy started letting mom love her. The kitten was another story. She was feral & afraid of humans. Unfortunately, Mama moved with her kitten to an unknown area across the street. She still would bring her kitten to eat at dawn & at dusk and would sometimes spend the day lounging on the neighbours deck. On the morning of June 30, Baby was struck by a car & killed in front of our home. Mama woke us up crying & calling for her kitten to get up. She kept running into the road to nudge her. Mom scooped up Mama & brought her in the house to keep her safe. She brought her to the vet for vaccinations & a health check & to be spayed. Poor Mama is only a year old. Mom decided to keep her & she is now part of the family. Cindy was definately owned by someone at one time. She loves human touch and she knew how to use a litter box right away. Poor girl probably got out and became lost.
She went from living outside, dirty, hunting for food for her and her kitten to being a lovely little housecat. Hense, the rags to riches, plus she is a pretty gray colour, the colour of cinders.

Grammy says that she used to have a C-A-T that looked like Cindy. His name was Bullet, and he thought he was a dog. She is so glad that Cindy has found a good home, and sorry that the kitten didn't make it to finding one. We hope that you all will make her welcome since she is sad now. The CCC
