A Sunday Stroll

This is a piece of land owned by the Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital (LPH). People call it the LPH Field. We call it fun. It was an unused wooded area, until it was cleared to host the 1997 Canadian Boy Scout Jamboree. Now people use it as a recreation field. Walking, jogging biking, etc. The red oval is a gravel road that takes about an hour to walk. There is also access to Boulevard lake where we can go swimming. The LPH Field is a 5min walk from our house.

A vast walking area, with lots of sights and smells for curious minds.

Hurry up. Why are you stopping?

Follow us, as we take a walk around the track.

Do you see me?

Hi girls! That looks like FUN! And how nice to see such wonderful weather with you - until recently we thought you lived in the snow all year round, he he! We'd love to join you sniffing and exploring on one of your walks. Tail wags - JD and Max.

Wow, how nice! You could charge other dogs just to walk with you - not all are so fortunate to have access to such beauty!

Oh yeah a Double Daisy shot. She surely did like that stick. It is a beautiful place. Glad that all the snow melted away so that you can enjoy the sniffings and walkings.

River July 15, 2009 at 11:10 PM

That was fun! Especially since you got to be off leash and sniff a whole lot!

That looked like it would be so much fun! We are going to ask our momma to take us for a walk in the woods as soon as it stops raining and isn't so cold that her nose turns blue all the time.☺

Hi Penny and Ruby and sometimes Daisy.
Thanks for wagging over and wishing me a happy barkday. That looks like a fun place. I love when they cut trails into used land. It makes good off leash areas. I'm wondering if you saw any mice or fun things to chase???

Don't forget tomorrow is Nat'l Ice Cream Day. Post your ice cream photo
