A Trip then a Trip to the Vet

This morning, just before mom had to leave for work, I decided to tussle with Chester the Cat. I walked in between all 4 of his legs & tripped him. He fell on top of me. When he got up, I couldn't get up. I was flailing my legs & squealing like a pig. Was I in pain, embarassed or scared? Mom didn't know, so she took me the the Vet Hospital. They checked me out & did xrays. The vet said I looked ok, except my back seemed arched at the T-L junction. She walked me around the hospital & I wasn't limping. They gave me doggy aspirin & $335 dollars later, I was on my way.

It looks like I'll be spending a lot of time in my crate. I'm to rest (no running or jumping, avoid stairs & up/down on furniture, short leash walks) for 2 to 4 weeks. No cat torture.

Love Ruby

Oh no Ruby!!! Your poor little back!

Thankfully your mom took you to the Doctor fast. You have a wonderful mom! I know it will be hard, but you will need to be a good furbaby and take good care of yourself for a while until you are all better.

We want your back very healthy for a really long time.

I'm going to get my most favorite treats/toys together and send you a get well soon care package so you are not too bored!

Kisses
Addie

P.S. Tell that cat to stay out of your way!

OOH RUBY!! We hope you feel better. Luke hurt his back one time and he had to have a shot of cortisone and then he had to be on doggy prednisone and it made him retain water. He looked like a stuffed sausage!! Take it easy!!

Ruby,
I think I need to have my vision checked. How did I miss a lovely lady like you?
Thanks for visiting me, I'm so honored.
Sorry that you had to visit the Vet, the bill was like 10 months of my food supply, wow.
Tell you what, I noticed that you won a lot of Awards, may be one more would not have crowded your mantle, plese pick the Blogging Friend Forever Gold Visa Award that is on my sidebar, hopefully the Vet would have accepted it.
May I add your blog into my blogroll? And please my guestbook.
Cheers!

This back stuff is scary for us weenie dogs! So far my back has been fine but my two dachsie sisters before me had back problems. One even had back surgery when she was four years old! So mama watches me like a hawk, especially around my big sisters and brother!

Hope you get better really soon!
