Scooby & Sammi need a home together! - Adopted.

We are participating in Mayzie's Rescue Me Week for a chance to win a donation for Canadian Dachshund Rescue of Ontario.

Hi there! We’re Scooby and Sammi – two of the friendliest, happiest, most adorable doxies you’ll ever meet! Now, before you pass us by because we’re a packaged deal or because we might not be as young as the next dog…take a minute to get to know us, you might discover we’re just what you’re looking for!

Scooby’s a dapper 10 year old 15 lb black and tan mini male and Sammi is a sweet 13 year old 10lb red mini female. We’re all up-to-date on our vetting and ready to find that perfect family to love and live out our golden years with!

So this is what we hear all the time: oh, we can’t adopt two dogs! Or, I just lost my dog a year ago and was looking to adopt a younger dog! Well hold your horses! Bonded pairs are equivalent to one dog – we stick together like glue! Plus, we do half the work for you – we clean each other, groom each other and keep each other company when you’re not around. We share a bond that most humans will never experience in their entire lives. It’s built on undeniable, unconditional, everlasting love! It’s a rarity in this world and we think everyone and anyone should jump at the chance to adopt two wee little dogs who exhibit this kind of love! Not to mention, Sammi is as sweet as can be and as cute as a button! She seldomly barks, loves her walks and is great on her leash! In typical doxie fashion, she loves to sleep under the blankets on the couch with her boyfriend Scooby, of course! Scooby loves to sit on any human’s lap to be petted. He also loves his walks and is very quiet in the house. In typical doxie fashion, he loves his food! We’re also housetrained and extremely well-behaved, so everyone says! Heck, we’ll even live with a cat! We may be seniors but dachshunds are known to live well into their teens! We’re healthy and full of energy and life! We run and play but will always stop for a snuggle! We know there’s someone out there for us and we’re really hoping it’s you! – Sammi & Scooby

Words cannot express what awesome little dogs these two are! They get along wonderfully with everyone – strangers, dogs, cats! Please consider adopting these two special weenies! They will fill your life with so much joy and love! There is something to be said for senior dogs! They’re past the rowdy puppy stage, they’re not interested in chewing your furniture, they’ll walk with you but don’t require hours of exercise, they’ve learnt to be content just snoozing in the sun – I could go on and on. Plus, in Scooby and Sammi’s case – you get all of these wonderful qualities, times two! Please don’t overlook these darlings because of their age or because they come as a pair – they are so deserving of a family of their own and in return will impart on you the love and affection they show for each other and anyone who comes into their lives.
