A "Short" Fairy Tail!!

Far, far away, a long, long time ago........

......lived a beast! Forced to live a lonely life, in a tower. Shunned by her facial puffiness.

One day, the Milkbone Knight, dressed in his winter armour, riding his trusty steed Woody, happens upon The Beasts' tower.

The brave Milkbone Knight plants a kiss upon the beasts' snout.

When the smoke clears, two beautiful princesses are standing before the Milkbone Knight.

The Milkbone Knight makes the beautiful princesses his brides and they live happily ever after, far far away from one another.

~The End~

A VERY special thank you to the Dachsies with Moxie, Ginger, Chip and Thai for sending us these gorgeous crowns for Valentine's Day. We love them.

Love Ruby & Penny

Pees - Ruby had a reaction to her vaccines. Her face, neck & ears swelled up with fluid. (The vet also said that if her fur was shaved you would be able to see the swelling on her body) She was given Benadryl thru the night, but the swelling did not go down. She had to go back to the vet the next day for shots of Prednisone and Benadryl. The swelling finally subsided almost 48 hours after the reaction. Her vet advised, as well as her MomL to only give Ruby one vaccine at a time from now on, along with a dose of Benadryl one hour before any vaccines are given.

We heards bout poor Ruby dis mornin' from Frankie. All of a suddens, all da weenie dogs are havin' a bad reaction....My brudder Max, Puddles, and now Ruby. Max has dat reaction to da rabies shot so whenevers he gets one, he spends da entire day at da vet's office for allergy shots throughout da days. He got his odder shots on anudder day and dose shots made hims very, very, very sick. So da vet said no more shots cept for rabies and only rabies cause it's required by law! Poo!

Chelsea and Wilson February 22, 2011 at 2:43 AM

Oh boy, we had that happen with Wilson when we got all his shots up to date, our vet figured it might have been his rabies shot but that wasn't a fun night for us at all. I had to drive him in to the emergancy vet get a shot of benadryl and after that I stayed up all night making sure he didn't get puffy again and could breath! Glad shes no longer a puffypuffy doxie!

I'm so glad you're feeling better, Ruby! I know the feeling because it happened to me too.

Arran, Arthur and Mum February 23, 2011 at 8:16 AM

oh poor Ruby! That looks very sore! Auntie Penny gets these reactions to the vaccine too, they started when she got to 6, mostly on her body, but also in her throat too. Which pretty scary! They make her white blood cell count go very low too! A few years ago we decided with our vet to just not give them at all, He said being 9 she should have enough immunity to be ok.

Pepsi the Lazy Bum February 23, 2011 at 10:25 PM

Hi Ruby and Penny. I haven't had the time to come say hi, but I know of you through your hubby, Frankie.
