The 4th of July Name Game

My naming story is pretty lame. There is no great hullabaloo about how I came to be Ruby. Mom had always liked the name Ruby. It is a beautiful, old fashioned name. She had kept the name tucked up in her brain waiting for a chance to use it. When she saw me, being red and all, she new it was time to use the name.
My registered name is Dacksville’s Red Ruby.

My naming story is even lamer. We don’t know how I got my name as I came into this family already a year and a half old. The humans, who loved me before, named me Penny. My registered name is Guardian’s Lucky Penny.
