We're not Figure Skaters

Last night we had a freezing rain storm. We woke up to a skating rink outside. Mom had to sprinkle Ecotraction all over so we could get outside to do our business. We can expect more of the same today. Hopefully it will warm up and we will just get ordinary rain.

Spring is in the air, we can smell it.

Penny and the Car Beast

Because I am very scared and nervous when in the car, Mom has been practicing with me. We sit in the car for awhile, then start the car, then go up & down the driveway, then around the block. Today is the first day that I didn't get all freaked out. Usually my tongue hangs down to my chest and I feel like I might hyperventilate or throw up.

Don't I look pretty calm.


My goal is to eventually do this when I ride in the car.

Hot Spot

Today we had the hot spot in Canada. It was a balmy (for us) 12º above freezing (54ºF). We stayed outside way past supper time, until Daisy's mom picked her up.

I took advantage of the suns' warmth & sat around observing Penny & Daisy's exertions.

Penny played Wubba and so did Daisy.

Our snow is so slushy. Hopefully it will melt away soon.

Today was a beautiful day. Six degrees above freezing, with sunny, blue skys. We played outside all afternoon.
