My Weekend

My weekend started off with a bang (big bangs) you could say. Thunder Bay had one of the worst thunder storms. It lasted for almost 12 hours with lots of light, noise and water. Mom also made me have a bath.
On Saturday morning, mom woke me up early, groomed me, brushed my teeth & gave me a new collar. She took me to this place where there were 8 other doggies & their mommies or daddies. We took a 2 hour test. You are looking at one of the newest members of the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Services. The tests were fun. Out of the 8 dogs who tried out, 2 were asked to leave, because of shyness. I am one of the youngest dogs to pass the evaluation test. The new collar is a buckle collar only for when I'm working. There is a seniors facility down the street from us & that is where I will be visiting. I have to do 3 visits with a mentor & 7 other visits to get my certification. Then mom & I get our uniforms. Because I am so little (9 lbs) I am able to be on the bed with a patient or ride with them in thier wheelchairs. The big dogs have to stay on the floor or rest on thier owners legs to reach a patient in bed.
Where's Ruby? Because of the storm, we have millions of leaves scattered in our backyard. Those dried up brown things that stick to my fur are everywhere. See if you can spot me without enlarging the picture. We spent Sunday afternoon trying to clean up some of these leaves.

Now it's time for me & mom to cuddle for a while before bedtime.

Thanks Thor
The Proximity Award
"We all like blogs. Their objectives are to show the wonders and to make friendships; there are people who are not interested when we give an award, and in this way contribute to cut those bows; we want that they are cut or they propagate? Then we will try to pay more attention to them! We must give it to other bloggers that must do the same and put this text".

I would like to pass these awards to Addie

Thanks Thor
Thanks Luke & Liesel

Today was a lazy Sunday. Mom made me have a bath. We went for a walk & then snoozed on the couch.

This is my get dry dance. It's quite effective.

This is the warning look I give mom after the bath to leave me alone. It is also quite effective.

My Best Friend Bella

This is my best friend Bella.

Bella lives across the street from me. Our moms take us for walks together or just let us play in each others back yards. We even like to bark or whine at each other from across the street.

I'm a Good Girl

Today was the first time my mom couldn't let me out for a break at noon. I held it for 8 hours. She is very proud of me. As a reward she took me to the off leash dog park. Today I saw dogs.

Off Leash Dog Park

Today mom took me to the off leash dog park. I think all the other dogs were at home. I ran very far away from her. Of course I fell asleep on the way home. It was a long walk for my short legs.

I'm a New Barker

My ferocious bark.

I just started barking about 3 weeks ago. My mom thought I was going to be mute. One day while sitting in my favourite spot, a dog crossed my front yard. I just had to speak. Now my mom is always shssshing me.

Shopping

Today mom took me shopping with her.

This is how I ride. My very own seat.

It doesn't take long before I'm snoozing.

This is my mom's bumper sticker. She thinks it's funny.

My Pen

This is my play pen. I use it when I want to play outside, as my whole backyard is not fenced. It is 40' x 15' x 4', with a large tarp for shade at one end. You could fit approx. 4713 mini doxies stacked one on top of another inside it. I have lots of room to run & play.
I have a pool(empty), picnic table & lots of toys to keep me occupied. No cats allowed.

The mornings are cold here. The trees are already dropping their leaves.

I'm off to make my digging hole bigger.

A Walk at the Marina

Today it was very hot. Mom took me to the Marina where there was a cool breeze coming off the lake.
All of these pictures were taken with my mom's iphone.

A new doxie friend named Libby.
This picture looks like I'm taking a walk with my shadow.

We always end our walk with a drink of water at the boat ramp.
